Teach For Souls: An Emergency Response to Evangelism

In his book, Teach for Souls: An Emergency Response to Evangelism, Taylor seeks to motivate believers to get out of the salt shaker and out of the four walls of the Church, to change the world by sharing the “good news” of the Gospel. As for new and non-believers, this book will introduce them to the claims of Jesus Christ in a way that is easy to understand and share with others.

It is not difficult to see that our world is in a state of spiritual, social, and geopolitical crisis. These happenings prove the accuracy of Bible prophecy pointing towards the end of the world as we know it and the return of Christ. This book is designed to awaken us to this reality and the need to carry out the commission of Jesus.

As you explore the various truths and principles found in this book, you will develop a deeper understanding of how to effectively position yourself to lead your family and friends to Christ.

Community Evangelism Tracts (CET)

Start sharing your faith with the CET

To help Christians carry out the “Great Commission” personally and intentionally, Teach for Souls is happy to provide evangelistic literature (tracts) to churches and individuals. These unique types of Christian literature can be utilized to spread the gospel one-on-one in communities across Canada and elsewhere. They can also be used for engaging first-time visitors or other newcomer groups.

The CET is a short and informative pamphlet that explains the God’s Word in a straightforward and easy-to-understand manner. These tracts are valuable in generating conversations with people, highlighting the purpose of salvation, and generating discussions regarding the gospel of Jesus Christ.

How Can You Use the Community Evangelism Tracts?

These powerful evangelism tracts can be a very efficient method of spreading the gospel to a broad and diverse group of people in a relatively short time. In using these tracts to evangelize communities, believers should remember four crucial points. These four points are prayer, permission, attitude, and listening.

Prayer
First, prayer should be entered into before and after discussions and the CET distribution. One important reason is that prayer is the Holy Spirit's tool to soften, convict, and cultivate the hearts of the unreached before the gospel is presented to them. When sharing our faith, we must ask the Holy Spirit to guide our conversations and anoint our words. The Holy Spirit knows the hearts and needs of all people.
Permission
Second, the believer should ensure they have been permitted to share the information. It is not recommended to be overly zealous in engaging unbelievers in a faith-based conversation without understanding and respecting the individual's right to refuse. A conversation starter in the communication process could include stating your name, the ministry you represent, and that you would like to have an opportunity to share some very important information with them.
Attitude
Third, having a winning attitude and an engaging personality can go a long way in communicating the gospel with others. Encourage individuals you interact with by making the information appealing so they can read it. Ensure that they have the contact information for your ministry should they have questions or want to act on the information presented. Also, let them know that the information presented can be verified in the Bible and other sources.
Listening
Fourth, we need to learn and use the skills of listening and paying attention to others when we are witnessing. In many cases, a person's heart can be prepared to receive the gospel's message simply by listening to them share their stories with you. One of the best ways to find openings to communicate the gospel with others is to listen to them. In a world where communication is becoming increasingly impersonal, listening to individuals first is the most effective way to share your faith.

What is unique about the CET?

The CET tracts are user-friendly and use a historically sound approach to explain important biblical concepts and information about the gospel of Jesus Christ in a culturally relevant and non-judgmental manner.

These tracts are horizontal and folded so that a lot of useful and engaging information can be placed in them for a quick read.

  • The Adam Family

This tract briefly overviews man's origin, subsequent fall, and depravity. It outlines the plan of salvation and explains who Jesus Christ is, His role in man's redemption, and the need for a saviour.

  • Signs of the End Times

This tract gives us a glimpse into the times we live in, the social and moral decay of societies, the state of nations, global warming and natural disasters, and how we can escape the future calamities of the world predicted in the Bible.
